Day 02
In 10 years, I’ll have finished my PhD and have a great start on some translational research. Hopefully the field will still require problem solving and the $1000 genome won’t have ruined all the fun for me. One of my hobbies will turn out to be a modest money-maker. I’ll still be debt-free (please, please, please), and will have significant savings in two separate accounts: dream house and future maybechildren. Starting my own organization or opening up a new location for an existing organization will be underway, and I’ll be preparing to move to a new country with a different language. Until I’m 32, I don’t expect to be spending much money on anything* other than occasionally traveling, a teensy apartment, and a kitty. I expect to live frugally until I move into a house, and then I’ll get a dog or two. I have no idea if I’ll be married, but if I am, they better be down with the wanderlust.
*Alcohol is not included because I don’t want to think about how much money I’ll drink over the years.
